About Perpetual Impact
Perpetual Impact was born from within the community foundation industry, not from the outside looking in.
Founder Alex Holtel spent years inside community foundations before launching Perpetual Impact, serving as CFO of the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis, where he guided net asset growth from $620M to $1.3B in only two years, and as Director of Finance at the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, where he led a custom donor portal build and data integration project from the ground up. He has served on the board of FAOG (Finance, Administration & Operations Group for Community Foundations) and as the first community foundation liaison of the Technology Association of Grantmakers (TAG).
That experience matters. We've sat in your seat. We've wrestled with the same investment aggregator headaches, the same reporting and budget process frustrations, the same technology decisions with too many vendors promising too much. We know what works, what doesn't, and what questions to ask before signing anything.
Before community foundations, Alex spent years in the FinTech industry overseeing eight ERP migrations and automation projects — bringing a level of technology fluency that is rare in the nonprofit consulting space.
Today, Perpetual Impact helps nonprofits and community foundations across the United States modernize their finance functions, deploy AI agents and automation, and make smarter technology investments — without the cost of a full-time executive.
